Interestingly I think this is the exact point where we went wrong. An hour into the walk at High Langworth Cross. Had we crossed that bridge and headed North we would have been back at the barn about 3 hours later (around 3.30 BST) and thats allowing for for crossing the grouse moor Galloper.
