Notice that post mark. 8:45AM 28 MAR 17.
So Elsie's letter was received in the morning post, Sibyl then wrote the postcard and either took it to a post office or dropped it in a box. It was collected and franked and on it's way to Nottingham by 8.45am. The cost was a ha'penny. My word, services have improved since then.
